Question 1

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Send an online service request with your property details. We will confirm scope, price and the available route date before service starts.

Question 2

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We serve Saint John, Rothesay, Quispamsis, Grand Bay-Westfield, Hampton and Willow Grove, with extended coverage available in Saint Martins and select communities based on route availability. If you don't see your area listed, send a service request so we can review your address and the route available for your community.

Question 3

Do I need to be home during service?

Accepted Answer

No. Most of our clients are not home during service. Just make sure we have access to your yard through a gate or side entrance. If you have a gate code, provide it in the service request form so we can review access before confirming a visit.

Question 4

Do you service areas outside your regular routes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We occasionally service properties outside our regular routes depending on scheduling and location. Additional travel charges may apply for properties outside our standard service area. Send a service request with your address to check availability. Coverage, any travel charge and a date will be confirmed before service starts.

Question 5

How much does pet waste removal cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing depends on service frequency and number of dogs. We publish our residential rates online so you can see the cost before getting started. Weekly, twice-weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and one-time service are available, with pricing for additional dogs on recurring visits clearly listed. Residential prices include tax. Commercial services are quoted separately, with HST added.

Question 6

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept e-transfer and cash. One-time services are due upon completion. Recurring services are billed monthly in advance.

Question 7

Are there any contracts or commitments?

Accepted Answer

No. Our recurring services are month-to-month, with no long-term contracts. You can cancel your service without penalty. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice before a scheduled visit. If we arrive and cannot complete the service because the visit wasn't cancelled in advance or the property is inaccessible, the scheduled visit may still be charged.

Question 8

What days do you provide service?

Accepted Answer

Recurring services are scheduled according to our established routes in each service area. Your regular service day depends on the route available for your neighbourhood. We'll confirm your service day when setting up your service.

Question 9

What if my dog is outside during service?

Accepted Answer

We love dogs, but for the safety of both your pet and our team, we ask that dogs remain inside or are secured during service. If your dog is friendly and you'd like them to be out, please let us know in advance so we can coordinate. If a dog prevents safe access to the yard, we may have to skip the visit.

Question 10

What do you do with the waste?

Accepted Answer

All pet waste is double-bagged and placed responsibly in your own garbage bin, so you never have to handle it yourself. For clients who prefer that we remove the waste from the property, we offer a haul-away service for an additional fee based on local disposal rates and transport. We confirm disposal arrangements and the total price before service starts. Residential prices include tax; commercial prices are quoted before HST.

Question 11

Do you offer additional services?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our Canadian-made Bio-Enzymatic Odour Eliminator is included with every Scoop I Do cleanup at no additional charge and is also available as a standalone service. We also offer waste haul-away upon request for an additional fee.

Question 12

What if I need to skip a service?

Accepted Answer

No problem. Just let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, missed visits, or properties that are inaccessible when we arrive may still be charged. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change an upcoming visit.

Question 13

What happens in bad weather or during winter?

Accepted Answer

Scoop I Do operates year-round, including throughout the winter. We service in most weather conditions. If severe weather, unsafe road conditions, heavy accumulation, lightning, or unsafe footing makes service unsafe or impractical, we'll reschedule the visit and keep you informed.

Question 14

Can I request a specific cleanup day?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can request a preferred cleanup day. Not every day will be available in every area because recurring services are organized by route. We'll let you know which service days are available for your neighbourhood when setting up your service.

Question 15

What if I'm not satisfied with the service?

Accepted Answer

If we missed pet waste during your cleanup, let us know within 24 hours and we'll return to clean the missed area at no additional charge. We stand behind the thoroughness of our cleanup.

Question 16

How thorough is your cleanup?

Accepted Answer

We carefully walk the accessible areas of your yard, including common problem areas such as along fence lines, around structures and other places where pet waste can be easy to miss. If we do miss something, let us know within 24 hours and we'll return to take care of it at no additional charge.

Question 17

Do you provide an arrival time for service?

Accepted Answer

We don't provide exact arrival times because our technicians follow scheduled routes throughout the day. We'll send you a text approximately one hour before arrival, so you know when we're on the way.
